Package: lintian
Version: 2.63.0
Severity: serious
Justification: prevents upload of brltty package

Hello,

While running lintian on the output of the brltty source package, I am
getting this:

E: brltty-udeb udeb: file-in-etc-not-marked-as-conffile etc/brltty/Attributes/invleft_right.atb
E: brltty-udeb udeb: file-in-etc-not-marked-as-conffile etc/brltty/Attributes/left_right.atb
E: brltty-udeb udeb: file-in-etc-not-marked-as-conffile etc/brltty/Attributes/upper_lower.atb
E: brltty-udeb udeb: file-in-etc-not-marked-as-conffile ... use --no-tag-display-limit to see all (or pipe to a file/program)

But AIUI for a udeb it does not make sense to have conffiles, thus why
they are not getting set, that's expected. I tried to override it with
this in brltty-udeb.lintian-overrides:

brltty-udeb udeb: file-in-etc-not-marked-as-conffile etc/brltty/Attributes/invleft_right.atb

but that didn't work. That's basically preventing me from uploading the
brltty package since ftpmaster also gets the error.

This can be reproduced efficiently with

  apt-get source rootskel
  cd rootskel-*
  dpkg-buildpackage/pdebuild/whatever your liking
  lintian ../rootskel*.changes

I bisected the issue down to apparition in lintian version 2.58.0

Samuel
