Please make the template check more generic. I suggest looking for the
string "template" anywhere in the path name instead of just
"/templates/".

My specific test case is:
I: gnome-builder: package-contains-documentation-outside-usr-share-doc
usr/share/gnome-builder/plugins/autotools_templates/resources/CONTRIBUTING.md
I: gnome-builder: package-contains-documentation-outside-usr-share-doc
usr/share/gnome-builder/plugins/autotools_templates/resources/README.md
