I was really disappointed to read this hysterical tone for what is simply
a false-positive in Lintian.

Not only has this has been an "E:" tag since it was introduced in
2006 (and presumably it is yourself who decided to move the files to
the -common package anyway), I'm afraid the idea that the Lintian
maintainers are leaving you "no choice" comes across as bullying and
needlessly passive-aggressive.

Adopting such an attitude is not productive to working well with others
and I humbly request that you avoid doing so in future.
