Bug#892550: lintian: mail-transport-agent-dependency-does-not-specify-default-mta should not be triggered for Conflicts/Breaks/Replaces
Package: lintian
Version: 2.5.79
Severity: normal
Hello,
lintian's newly introduced tag
mail-transport-agent-dependency-does-not-specify-default-mta warns not
only only about "Wants" relationships (i.e.
Depends/Recommends/Suggests/Build-Depends) but also about other "Keep
Out" relationships (Conflicts/Breaks/Replaces). That does not make
sense because the package providing default-mta also must provide
mail-transport-agent.
In fact it looks like the tag is even triggerd for Provides
W: exim4-daemon-heavy: mail-transport-agent-dependency-does-not-specify-default-mta provides: exim4-localscanapi-2.0, mail-transport-agent
which is always a false positive.
