Bug#881389: lintian: Incomplete solution to whitespace errors in file-contains-trailing-whitespace

I think I missed something. Why is it good to keep trailing tabs in a 
Makefile?

it probably shouldn't say debian/control in the sample command but otherwise, 
that at least tells the maintainer how to fix the warning rather than giving 
an instruction that does not.
