Oh, that was not my intent. I just wanted to be able to sort out problems introduced by bad
maintainer scripts. It sounds like we should

- explicitely permissively license the maintainer scripts
- drop the built-using header (perhaps adding a custome header, or just
  making sure the version info is available other places.
