Hi Paul! * Paul Wise <pabs@debian.org>, 2016-07-03, 11:07:
Apple renamed MacOS X to macOS.

+(?i)mac ?os x||macOS
This doesn't look good to me. "macOS" is the name of the upcoming version of Apple's operating system.But they didn't retroactively rename the previous versions. They are still named "Mac OS X" or "OS X".
For example, "Mac OS X 10.5" is the correct name that has hundreds hits on codesearch.d.n. Changing it to "macOS 10.5" would be anachronistic.
