Recent versions of lintian do not report unused-override any longer, causing cruft to accumulate in debian/*.lintian-overrides.
Do you have a concrete example when it doesn't work?At least https://lintian.debian.org/tags/unused-override.html seems to suggest that the tag didn't completely ceased to be emitted.
