Actually I think, that _is_ the point. With your argumentation we
should even support 3.5~+-.rc1 and I tend to refuse to implement
something like that. So that would be a wontfix from me.
But since this issue likely would be fixed, too, by fixing
https://bugs.debian.org/782717
(rc-version-greater-than-expected-version should check previous
changelog entry's version number), I'm just adding #782717 as blocking
bug. :-)
