Bug#717132: lintian: new apache2 checks should not warn when the maintainer script is used
Package: lintian
Version: 2.5.14
Severity: wishlist
Hey maintainers of Lintian,
this is a request regarding the checks:
* apache2-reverse-dependency-calls-invoke-rc.d
* apache2-reverse-dependency-calls-wrapper-script
and maybe other upcoming checks for the new Apache2.4 handling.
I've update the postinst/postrm scripts of "icinga-web" for the new Apache 2.4
handling of things, while trying to still support wheezy, without the need
to change the scripts for backporting.
What I did is:
* if the new maintainer helper for apache2.4 exists
-> use it
* else
-> classical linking into conf.d/ and call of invoke-rc.d
Would it be possible to suppress these warnings when the new helper script [1]
is used as well? Please see my script [2] as example of how it could be utilized
by other maintainers.
Thank you,
Markus Frosch
