Package: lintian
Version: 1.23.22
Severity: normal

I am trying to override bad-distribution-in-changes-file for an
internal package, but neither of the following works, in the binary
or source overrides:

  bad-distribution-in-changes-file
  package: bad-distribution-in-changes-file
  package binary: bad-distribution-in-changes-file
  package source: bad-distribution-in-changes-file
  package changes: bad-distribution-in-changes-file

I would appreciate if you could fix this.

As of Lintian 2.3.0, you can now suppress tags via a command-line option.
So, for instance, --suppress-tags bad-distribution-in-changes-file should
do what you want. (You can also load the list of tags to suppress from a
file via a different option.) Of course, a command-line alias can be used
to always pass the option, but we also have a wishlist bug to allow
default options to be specified in the configuration file.

I think this should solve the original problem.
