Even if the feature is rarely needed, I think that adding a Lintian tag
for a feature that has a valid purpose and telling people to override if
they really want to use the feature is a bad design. I realize that we're
doing that now with setuid programs, but I think that's a special case due
to the security implications. I'm very reluctant to add something else
like that.
Among other things, it's exactly this sort of check that gets people to
stop using Lintian at all because they don't want to add overrides for
intentional uses of features.
