Bug#464626: missing-dependency-on-perlapi: false positives
Package: lintian
Version: 1.23.43
Severity: normal
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I just built an arch:any perl module package (libtime-piece-perl) and
lintian told me about the missing-dependency-on-perlapi error; but
both ${perl:Depends} and dh_perl are present, and debc output says:
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.7-1), perl (>= 5.8.8-12), perlapi-5.8.8
Testing with another arbitrarily chosen arch:any .changes file
(libdate-simple-perl) has the same false positive for this test.
AFAICS the test in checks/binaries tries to match the Depends: line
against
/(?:^|,)\s*perlapi-[\d.]+(?:\s*\[[^\]]+\])(?:\s*,|\z)/
where the [..] part seems a little strange to me. At a first glace it
could just be left out IMO.
BTW: Thanks for all the new tests and other enhancements in the
recent lintian versions!
Cheers,
gregor
