Bug#460844: lintian: warn about the presence of .gitignore files in binary packages
Package: lintian
Version: 1.23.41
Severity: wishlist
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
lintian currently has checks for SCM control directories/files (like
diff-contains-git-control-dir, diff-contains-svn-commit-file etc.).
Please add a diff-contains-git-ignore-file check. This will help us
avoid bugs like #413911.
Thanks,
Giridhar
