The latest version (as posted in
<1228058424.11958.113.camel@kaa.jungle.aubergine.my-net-space.net>)
works in all of the tests I tried, including a harness run against a
very small repository.
I believe it incorporates all of Frank's suggestions but I'd appreciate
any further feedback on it before committing.
