I would propose to switch to the git repository soon so that we can
change the VCS fields for the upcoming 1.24.2 upload.

I would also like to start converting the checks/ scripts to use
Lintian::Collect, but would prefer to do so in a branch. I want to
avoid having to do that branching in both svn and git.

So far I found one minor issue with the test suite that looks related to
the switch:

Hadn't time to investigate, yet.
