Bug#442711: lintian: tries to enforce devref 6.5.4.2 on debconf select templates

Package: lintian
Version: 1.23.34

Hi folks,

Lintian is spitting out the following warning on the debconf templates in
the samba package:

W: samba: malformed-prompt-in-templates samba/run_mode
N:
N: The short description of a select, multiselect, string and password
N: debconf template is a prompt and not a title. Avoid question style
N: prompts ("IP Address?") in favour of "opened" prompts ("IP address:").
N: The use of colons is recommended.
N:
N: If this template is only used internally by the package and not
N: displayed to the user, put "for internal use" in the short
N: description.
N:
N: Refer to Developers Reference, section 6.5.4.2 for details.
N:

The issue is that Dev Ref 6.5.4.2, which gives the prohibition on using
"question-style prompts", is about string and password templates. The
samba/run_mode template is a select template, and I do not agree that there
are any grounds for prohibiting questions as the short description of select
templates.

Please enforce the question-mark check only for string and password
templates.
