Bug#375246: tar: *control: Not found in archive, pattern matching characters used in file names
Package: lintian
Version: 1.23.21
Severity: grave
lintian fails on all deb packages with the following output:
lintian /home/michael/debian/build-area/kpowersave_0.6.2-1_i386.changes
tar: Pattern matching characters used in file names. Please,
tar: use --wildcards to enable pattern matching, or --no-wildcards to
tar: suppress this warning.
tar: *control: Not found in archive
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
internal error: broken input pipe for unpacking /home/michael/debian/build-area/kpowersave_0.6.2-1_i386.de
As this happens for all packages I tested it renders lintian completely unusable for me, so I'm filing this bug grave.
Cheers,
Michael
