Bug#315919: lintian: doesn't like ~ version number
Package: lintian
Version: 1.23.9

Hi,
beginning with sarge, the character ~ is valid in version numbers.
However, lintian reports an error when checking rageircd_2.0.1~pre2-1.
Greetings
