Bug#224229: No, lintian should NOT sheck priority

Policy mandates nothing that lintian should check.

Checking dependencies is outside the scope of lintian, as lintian knows
nothing about priorities of other packages, so cannot do this.

Also, you say the buildd reports problems, but in fact you probably
wanted to say http://qa.debian.org/debcheck.php gives problems, and
indeed, that _is_ the page for this kind of checks.

Improving lintian to do tests which need package listings is something
that could be done, but would require quite some changes etc. If you
really want that, discuss it on debian-lint-maint@lists.debian.org, to
see whether other maintainers are inclined to include such a patch or
not (I don't know, I speak only for myself in this paragraph). In any
case, you'd probably need to write the patch yourself in that case.
