However, these do actually exist in debian/postrm and debian/postinst:

Hi,

Please simply don't do that. Simply ship those files executable, even
though it doesn't make sense, you shouldn't employ such tricks to
prevent it, if users want to shoot themselves in the foot by trying to
launch something while installing/deinstalling, well, they should do so.
It doesn't have any negative result, other than 'it doesn't work then'.

If you insist, install an override.
