Re: Debian-Lex Rebirth? - python/perl/php?

I think it is a little bit importand to already get used to python. There is no need to reinvent wheels. Further more the particular technical implementation is also gone be a selling point, and it is more save than perl ore php. So not only importand for developing but also for choosing and picking third party software. Technic is very importand

Quoting Mathieu Lutfy <mathieu@bidon.ca>:

I think that debian-lex should focus developing solutions so that
existing software used by legal offices are easier to install and
maintain with Debian.

It is also a great that we can have lawyers and programmers from
various fields, which sometimes may even normally compete with
each other, collaborating on this list. No need to always reinvent
the wheel.

But I do not understand why we should discuss about a particular
technical implementation (programming language) unless we are
going to develop something in particular. But I don't think
that this should be the focus of this list.

woah, i always hoped a flame area to speak about superior race language
[i spent the last 10 years listening to microsoft speaking about how much
microsoft languages were superior to java]

actually i'd like to understand two simple things:
1) what kind of support do you think debian-lex will give
2) if this idea is so wonderfull why we do not start to tell debian distro
itself should focus to python?
