word lists
Folks,
let's assume that I take the first volume of `Harry Potter' and do the
following:
. split the text into words, removing all non-words
. remove all fictive names and places specific to the `Harry Potter'
world
. sort the words by frequency
as a result I get a word list of plain English words.
Now my questions:
o Is such a list copyrighted?
o Is it possible at all to assign a license to such a mechanically
extracted list, given that the extraction script is a few lines of
perl code, say?
