Hello! I'm going to package Sublime Text for Debian (bug against wnpp is on [1]). This is non-free text editor, upstream don't provide source code. I have some questions about it's license. As said on [2], "Sublime Text 2 may be downloaded and evaluated for free, however a license must be purchased for continued use. There is currently no enforced time limit for the evaluation." So we can say, that it is shareware. Can shareware program be uploaded to Debian? EULA for this program is available on [3], but the only item about distribution says only about license keys. > 2.b. Distribution. > You may not distribute or sell license keys or SUBLIME TEXT to third > parties. Licenses will be revoked if distributed or sold to third > parties. So, can I create package for Debian? And if yes, can I include binaries into it, or I need to create script, which download this program to end-user computer from upstream server, as it done with flashplugin-nonfree? The next question is about icons. I'm want to create menu item for this program, and I need to convert upstream-provided (with program) icons to other format. Can I do it myself, it must to be done by script on end-user computer, or we don't have rights for it? The last question is about location of files. Can I separate icons from upstream tarball and place it into /usr/share/icons, and other files in /usr/lib/sublime-text?
