I don't know whether there's any relationship between OPEN CASCADE
S.A.S. and CEA.

OPEN CASCADE S.A.S. [1] belongs to the EURIWARE group [2], which, in
its turn, is a subsidiary of the AREVA group [3].
At this point my (very limited) expertise in exploring relationships
among companies/groups/funds/foundations gives up...

When you say that they use Open CASCADE Technology at CEA, are you
referring to GUITHARE [4] ?
If so, I don't know how much CEA could be interested in
GPL-compatibility of Open CASCADE Technology... If I understand
correctly, CEA is more or less a customer of Open CASCADE S.A.S. in that
case: do they care what license is Open CASCADE Technology available
under for the general public?
