Fwd: Re: RFS: wmaker
Hello,
I am trying to upload a new version of wmaker package. I wrote two
sections as "public-domain" in the copyright file (converting the file
to DEP-5). When I put the package at mentors, Paul made me a comment
about it.
Can you help us? The package is at mentors, and the problem (forwarded
mail below) is about two sections:
1)
Copyright: 1997, Marco van Hylckama Vlieg <marco@windowmaker.info>
License: public-domain
They may be distributed freely and/or modified as long as the original
Author is mentioned!
2)

License: public-domain

Ok, the purpose of this license is simple
and you just

I'm not sure what to do about this. It looks very BSDish. debian-legal
might be the best place to ask.

This might be OK to call public-domain, but I'm not sure that
statement is a good legal release. debian-legal to the rescue again, I
think.

Add that block to the top where you have the Files: *, a blank line
signifies a full stop, next block, forget what I just said.
Don't worry about it being neat, just worry about it being correct :)

All programmers are playwrights, and all computers are lousy actors.
#define sizeof(x) rand()
:wq
