A few considerations:

 * metaphors may be useful to discuss an issue, but only focusing on the
metaphor may be very misleading, since almost no metaphor is a perfect
analogy: I think you'd better present your actual case, rather than a
metaphor

 * I personally think that the GNU AfferoGPL v3 fails to meet the DFSG
(see my own analysis [1]), despite the opposite opinion of FTP Masters
(see their response [2] and my own counter-response [3]): as a
consequence, you'll probably fail to convince me that _another_
restriction may be added to the GNU AfferoGPL v3 without harm (I already
consider the license problematic as it is, let alone after the addition
of further restrictions!)
