As I understand it, distributors who label their debian packaging and
advertising materials with the Python trademark need to make it clear
that it is a debianised version of Python.  Isn't packaging in the
trademark sense different to the debian package files?

This situation seems better than original-BSD-style packages to me,
which are also allowed in debian.
