Is the Debian swirl protected?

Hi all!

I just happened to run into a company (http://www.stinghorn.com/), whose
logo is very much like the Debian swirl logo and started to wonder if the
swirl is protected in some manner.

At least the company managed to fool me into thinking they are somehow
connected to Debian, since the small "favicon" logo is so much alike to
Debian logo that I first though they used the Debian logo and not some
other, just very much alike.

I'm not on list, so please cc me.

Cheers,
Juha
