I don't believe any of our software or documentation is hidden.

Since you posted to -legal: all the documentation written for Debian is
(or certainly should be!) modifiable and redistributable in a way
compatible with the Debian Free Software Guidelines
(<URL:http://www.debian.org/social_contract#guidelines>). Check each
document for more details.)

archive.debian.org is down, I think. There are mirrors: try, for
instance, <URL:http://source.rfc822.org/pub/mirror/archive.debian.org/>.
