Thank you for the answer.

Hi,

i guess the wrong resolution is an error because you use vesa as display driver. check your xorg.0.log file ..
and if needed install the correct driver.

For some reason the screen resolution of my laptop  Fujitsu ESPRIMO Mobile D9500 went wrong.

The reason I don't know.  Probably something went wrong with writing on the hdd.

Checking with xrandr:

--- ---

xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default
Screen 0: minimum 800 x 600, current 1024 x 768, maximum 1024 x 768
default connected primary 1024x768+0+0 0mm x 0mm
   1024x768      61.00*
   800x600       61.00

--- ---

The available resolution should be: 1280 x 800 ( WXGA )

What to do?

Is there any easy way to correct? For example to reinstall all the packages responsible for the screen?
