I couldn't get the screendriver working in gnome.
It worked well with 'squeeze', but after updating it stopped.
It has been some time since I worked with the machine last time and
I don't remember well how I installed it earlier. I expected the update
to keep it working but it didn't...
I will do 'lspci | grep VGA' after I'll get back to the machine and will let you
know the result.
I'm now not at the machine, but traveling with another machine.

What kind of screen problems? Are you using the
proprietary AMD drivers
or the opensource
video drivers?
'lspci |
grep VGA' should give the actual video card.
I would suggest some dpkg -l | grep ??? but
I'm not sure what to search
for exactly
to get something useful.
