Re: Xorg - segfault

Nope, or i didnt know that i did it... I think it was a default setting. But the Xorg is up and running and seems like everything is okay, expect that it can't reconfigure himself.
How can I turn on KMS, or the better question: what's the easiest solution? (i saw a few posts, but it was like a heart surgery)

Hi!

Now, I'm stuck: i wanted, to generate a new Xorg file(trying to improve
the touchpad), but a segfault error stops me from doing so, and I cannot
figure out what could be the problem, or where should I start looking. I
attach my Xorg log file, maybe someone can help me. I think that maybe
vesa is causing the problems but I'm not sure.

...you disabled KMS? Maybe that's the problem. Not all GPU's will work when KMS is disabled. I once had the same problem on an PC with an ATI card. After i disabled KMS X didn't start any longer.
