Re: wifi problem after starting laptop with empty usb stick

I didn´t check the switch and I´m ashamed. it was off.
Really sorry of having wasted your time, please forgive me.
Thank you a lot.

I just started my netbook with an empty usb stick and now I cannot see

Debian squeeze is the os, and I´m sending lspci, dmesg and lsmod in a
txt file.
Please, I really nead help. I´m backpacking in Argentina and it`s not
very common to find a cyber cafe around, but the gas stations have wifi.
I will connect tomorrow whenever I´m able to.

more helpful would have been:

- did it ever work?
- did you check the wifi switch?
- output of lspci
- output of lsusb
- output of iwconfig
- output of "iwlist scan"
