Hello James,

The reason I asked, I am using Acer Aspire 5583NWXMi series notebook. It
has a webcam. I wasn't able to configure it successfully with Debian
Etch or Lenny. If you have any tip or once you configure yours, please

Hello,
if this can help you, my webcam works fine whith "cheese".
My box is an acer aspire wmli 5102
I use sid.
My webcam works fine with the kernels 2.6.28 and 2.6.29 (packages
debian) but it doesn't work with the kernel 2.6.26.
demsg gives: (with kernel 2.6.28/29)
