Re: anysee E30 (+Kaffeine)

Hello,

After doing some search in the Net I found out that newer
2.6.28 kernels should have better support
for digi tv,

I tried with new kernels from

http://kernel-archive.buildserver.net/debian-kernel/pool/main/l/linux-2.6/

a)
linux-image-2.6.28-1-486_2.6.28-2~snapshot.12850_i386.deb

b)
linux-image-2.6.28-1-686_2.6.28-2~snapshot.12850_i386.deb

It didn't make any difference.

So the problem is probably not with the kernel,
but with some other programs.

----------------
----------------

So far I've tried only with Kaffeine.

--------
a)

When starting Kaffeine with DVB-T support on it says

Can't bind info socket!!!

---------
b)

When trying to use 'network broadcasting'
and 'receiving broadcast stream'

the detailed error message is:

---------------

No plugin found to handle this resource (slave:///localhost:8080)

16:00:42: xine: cannot find input plugin for MRL [slave:///localhost:8080]
16:00:42: xine: input plugin cannot open MRL [slave:///localhost:8080]
16:00:42: input_net: unable to resolve '/localhost'.
16:00:42: xine: found input plugin : net input plugin as shipped with xine
16:00:39: xine: found demuxer plugin: image demux plugin
16:00:39: xine: found input plugin : file input plugin

-------------

Anybody knows which kind of configuration is needed?

I tried to reinstall the whole Kaffeine and dvb-apps , but that didn't  help.

with best,

- hv

Hello,

anybody else has got
Anysee E30 DVB-T usb digi-tv Box?

Managed to get it working?

---

I tried to get it working with Debian lenny using
this advice here:

http://forum.ubuntu-fi.org/index.php?topic=1805.0

------------------------------------------
sudo apt-get install mercurial linux-headers-$(uname -r) build-essential
rm -rf v4l-dvb
hg clone http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb/
cd v4l-dvb
make distclean
make
sudo make install
sudo rmmod dvb_usb_anysee dvb_usb dvb_core tda10023 dvb_pll zl10353 mt352

----------------

But no success.

-----------

While doing the last step it says:

---------------------------
ERROR: Module dvb_usb_anysee does not exist in /proc/modules
ERROR: Module dvb_usb does not exist in /proc/modules
ERROR: Module dvb_core does not exist in /proc/modules
ERROR: Module tda10023 does not exist in /proc/modules
ERROR: Module dvb_pll does not exist in /proc/modules
ERROR: Module zl10353 does not exist in /proc/modules
ERROR: Module mt352 does not exist in /proc/modules
------------------

When trying to use the digi tv in Kaffeine it says: no socket.

What to do?
