LILO on a TOSHIBA Laptop Satellite A200 problems with SCSI-disk ?
I installed Debian Lenny on this Laptop without problems;
I used LILO and wrote it to the MBR (dev/sda).
Debian resides at /dev/sda4
Windows XP is in /dev/sda1
So when booting, LILO menu appears - if I choose Lenny to start, then LILO
loads very very slowly the kernel-image (shows 2 1/2 lines of dots, each dot
drawing is about 1 second).
After this slow procedure, kernel-image seems to be loades into RAM an then
kernel-messages (usual within Linux starting up ...) appear and the further
boot-process is normal.
So, WHY:
loads LILO so slowly ?
Is there a problem with SCSI-HardDisk , have I to tell parameters to LILO ?
thx
