Supend-to-RAM broken and HAL automounting

Hello,

I have two issues on my lenny install.
1. Since I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.22 and fglrx to
8.38.6-2, suspend is broken on my T60. If I don't load
the fglrx module, suspend works but Xv doesn't --> No
Movies! I tried unloading fglrx before suspend but
that doesn't work because the module is being used.
Any ideas?
2. I am using XFCE with Thunar. If I don't put my usb
drives in /etc/fstab, trying to mount them over Thunar
brings a msg "A security policy in place ... ".
Workaround with changing policies in 
/etc/dbus-1/system.d/hal.conf seems already to be in
place but doesn't work. I am a member of plugdev.

Any ideas people?
