It sounds like the default route isn't being configured correctly or,
possibly, that your DNS isn't configured correctly during the GPRS
connection.

Alternately, it could be that your provider has let you into their
walled garden, but not into the Internet proper.  Are you sure your GPRS
connection does support Internet access, and that you are dialing the
right access point for that?


Could you post the output of the following commands from *during* a GPRS
connection, please:

    route -n
    cat /etc/resolv.conf

That will help us diagnose the problem more effectively.

I also note that I have had no problems at all getting GPRS working
through my system, so it does work under Debian.
