Re: Dell Inspiron XPS Gen2 (M170) CDROM not detected



Search in /boot/grub/menu.lst for a line starting with "# kopt=" or
"#kopt=" append to this line libata.atapi_enabled=1 and run update-grub
then it is appended to all kernels but recreating the initrd should also
work as long as you stick with modules for libata and ata_piix.
