Try 'fdisk -l /dev/hda' this will print the partitions info of the hard drive. This is just to check that hda is working. To format do: 'mkfs.ext3 /dev/hda' this will format the hardisk to ext3. If you want reiserfs just write 'mkfs.reiserfs /dev/hda' kfir
