According to ...there's no such thing as a Pentium M at 3 GHz. Wherehave you heard of it? I'm still a bit confused about the alternative processors (P4 M / centrino etc), but http://www.sony.com.au/vaio/catalog/product.jsp?id=PCGK76P says it has a "Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 3.06GHz"
Well actual Pentium processor names are weird: Pentium 4 - actual desktop processor (not designed for mobile)Pentium 4 M - replaced by Mobile Pentium 4, good compromise between P4 and mobile needs
Mobile Pentium 4 - less efficient than Pentium 4 M, but better than Pentium 4, if you care of battery life & heat
Pentium M - processor designed for notebooks, part of centrino platform.I would not take (Mobile) Intel Pentium 4 Processors, the notebook muss be greater, heavier, lauder - I like my Asus M6Ne (Centrino)
