Re: Testing on Inspiron 5150 (or 5160)

the middle of doing something? I am suspecting I would need hotplug to see
the external mouse on the fly. If that does not work, I am afraid shutdown
and boot up with the USB mouse plugged in would be the remedy? *shiver*

I have a problem with the external USB mouse, too. If I unplug it, the pointer
stops working properly. I can move it around, but if I try to click on
something it won't do anything. Also keyboard stops working. The mouse reacts
to plugging it again, it lights up, but it won't work properly. Is this
similar to what you were experiencing? In may /var/log/messages file I find
these lines corresponding to unplugging the mouse:

By the way, precompiled Debian kernels work fine with model.
