>From single user mode, install normal kernel and useful package:

  kernel-image-2.4.24-1-686_2.4.24-1_i386.deb  (Non bf-type)
  discover

Also try EDITTING /etc/default/pcmcia
   CARDMGR_OPTS="-f"

To prevent race condition.
