During my last job my employer provided an Asus M2400N (~1200EUR).
The sarge netinst installed like charm and I had up to 6h of battery
life.

The e100 driver works, for WLAN you have to use the NDISwrapper but I
never tried it.

No experience on this, 6 hours are good enough for me :)

Sorry, I didn't investigate further, I just bought a Vaio PCG-Z1RMP
(1400x1050, keyboard fitting my fingers).
