I expect so, since I'm running lots of stuff from testing
and I've run xfree86 from sid before.  So far I've been able
to update the /etc/apt/sources.list and apt-get -s install
whatever (occasionally it wants to remove packages I don't
want removed (thus the -s), so I have to track down Debian 
vs. Xandros dependencies, but mostly it Just Works).
