RE: DVI output?

I plan on trying with my Compaq Evo N800c & docking station (with DVI) but am told may not work coz its a universal docking station that may only work with laptops that have DVIs on board (which mine doesn't)

Try taking a copy of Knoppix with you to the shop, and see it they
will let you try it.  Then you will know if it "just works".
