Well, to be fair, Linux installation experiences usually differ
extremely between product generations. Maybe the next Dell laptop
will make it very easy to install Linux...
Also, you have to take into account the huge differences between
servers and laptops. Maybe Dell does some more for its corporate
customers than for their end-users. Servers are usually not as
integrated as a laptop and so you're not as dependant on, for example
(since this is our issue right now) the Video BIOS. So your
experience on servers doesn't neccesarily relate to what it's like on
a notebook.
