Thanks Michael, 

after you told me you've got exactly the same dmesg, I fiddled a 
little around and...IT WORKS! 

But don't ask me why: The volume was set to zero (but I had already 
tried that in the past). KDE wouldn't open /dev/dsp. 

Now, I logged in as root, on the console, played an mp3, loaded 
aumix, and bam! it was working. Everywhere, X, KDE. 
The graphical equalizer in xmms also works! 
KDE would not complain any more...

This is something weired...

year. compared it word by word with my log. 
i have a x24 to and my sound is working without trouble.
