There are loads of extensions easily downloaded for Firebird (just go to 
Tools/Options/Extensions). One is Tabbed Browser Extensions (TBE) which gives 
you more tab features than you can ever eat (grouped tabs, drag and drop, 
colouring, variable width, restore after crash ........)
